Fheewhee is a simple utility that allows you to resize and control the transparency of windows using the mouse wheel. This tool works on all applications that are compatible with KDE (basically all of them). You can even drag objects between windows using the mouse.
Fheewhee comes with a wizard-based configuration program. Here you can set which windows to follow your mouse and how many seconds to wait before resizing. You can also change the window size and the transparency level and set them to auto or as a percentage of the window’s dimensions. In addition, you can set a specific window to follow your mouse, even on a desktop, and keep it in “focus mode” so you can put the mouse directly on that window and Fheewhee will follow it. As mentioned above, if you set Fheewhee to always follow the mouse in focus mode (i.e. the mouse pointer will always stay on a window even when you move your mouse out of it, even on a desktop, with the intention of dragging something), this allows you to “throw” objects that are on other windows around in your desktop, onto other windows, etc. Let’s say you drag an icon on the desktop to your top panel and while you have the mouse pointer on your desktop, but you have your mouse arrow somewhere else on the desktop, you can “throw” this icon onto the top panel by moving your mouse on top of your desktop. This means that Fheewhee will not work if you do not set it to follow in focus mode.
