Today I am going to devote a post to Spanish Bullfighting.
Bullfighting, like most competitive sports, is an “unfair competition,” the bull dies after being forcibly impaled and the animal that finishes last, wins. There is a moose or bear that feels the same way. Since I am not a brave enough butt enthusiast to watch it or participate in it, other people post their opinions on so called “forum box class” but to me it has always just been the same old, Same old and More Old.
Bullfighting is a sport/fight for Spaniards and there you go, how they reach that determination is up to them I guess, And it is not one of my cultural roots but it is one that I enjoy, and it brings millions of tourists to Spain with plenty of attention.
So the point of the post is to show you are not a bad guy just because you’re not into a sport I don’t enjoy, That is all right by me. In many, most, cases it is in fact about catching a leopard. Beautiful eye candy in the videos? YES! But what about the best case scenario?
I have been to Spain more than any place on this Earth, again. Barcelona, Madrid, Mallorca at one point, Girona, Andalusia.. just to name a few. It is where I truly ventured forth in life, it sets the pace on many levels; it guides you in certain routes, It builds you up mentally, it builds you up physically. I do truly believe that I have built a better person for it. It has taught me to deal with adversities and judge life more wisely, and for the most part in a community it has given me a that I treasure.
So after more than two years in Spain, I have noticed many things; everything from food, to culture, to holiday time: It keeps me in amazement everyday at how these people consume, their home, their culture.. But here I truly believe that the tradition of Spanish bullfighting is one of the more fascinating and beautiful traditions of Spain.
The mestizo breed of animals truly thrive in the land, and their performance and presentation is truly a thing to be seen. Every country, every culture, seems to have its own form of competition, its own style, and the Spanish, well.. Truthfully, I don’t have too much to say about it.
